What a gram actually costs in Coldwater
Six dispensaries sit within about a mile of I‑69 exit 13, and more than half the people walking into them drove up from Indiana. Every one of those menus prices by the package — an eighth here, an ounce there — and not one of them tells you the price per gram, which is the only number that compares them. So here is the tool, free, no signup, nothing to install.
Start from what Michigan actually averages
The state's Cannabis Regulatory Agency publishes an average adult-use retail flower price every month. It is the fairest yardstick there is, because it is computed from real transactions across the whole state rather than from anybody's advertising.
Michigan has the cheapest flower in the country, and that is the entire reason the drive happens. It is also why the per-gram question matters more here than anywhere else: when the floor is this low, the gap between a good buy and a bad one is enormous in percentage terms and nearly invisible in dollars.
Put any two prices in and see which one is actually cheaper
Works standing in the parking lot. Type what a shop is charging and what weight you get, add a second row for the shop next door, and it does the division for you and ranks them. Nothing is stored and nothing is sent anywhere.
Price per gram
Add a row for each thing you're comparingOr just read it off this table
Most Michigan shelf prices land on a handful of round numbers. Here is what each one works out to, and how it sits against the $2.08 state average.
| You pay | You get | Per gram | Versus state average |
|---|---|---|---|
| $35 | Eighth · 3.5 g | $10.00 | 4.8× the average |
| $25 | Eighth · 3.5 g | $7.14 | 3.4× the average |
| $20 | Eighth · 3.5 g | $5.71 | 2.7× the average |
| $40 | Quarter · 7 g | $5.71 | 2.7× the average |
| $60 | Half · 14 g | $4.29 | 2.1× the average |
| $150 | Ounce · 28 g | $5.36 | 2.6× the average |
| $100 | Ounce · 28 g | $3.57 | 1.7× the average |
| $75 | Ounce · 28 g | $2.68 | 1.3× the average |
| $58 | Ounce · 28 g | $2.08 | the state average |
| $50 | Ounce · 28 g | $1.79 | 14% under |
A $20 eighth is $5.71 a gram. A $58 ounce is $2.08 a gram. The eighth feels like the cheap option because it is a smaller number, and it costs nearly three times as much for the same weight. That single comparison is why this page exists, and no menu on the Green Mile will make it for you.
The Coldwater dispensaries, and how close together they really are
Three of these sit essentially on top of each other at the I‑69 exit 13 interchange — Lume at 351 and Sapura at 355 South Willowbrook are next-door neighbours. Locals call the strip the Green Mile. The rest are spread through town along Chicago Street and downtown.

We do not rank these, we do not take money from any of them, and we do not publish their prices — prices move daily and a stale number is worse than none. Call ahead or check the shop's own menu. If something here is wrong or out of date, tell us and we will fix it.
The part nobody at the counter is going to explain
Indiana has no legal adult-use market, and carrying cannabis across the state line is a federal and Indiana offence regardless of where you bought it. Buying it legally in Michigan does not travel with it. Branch and Steuben county sheriffs have both said publicly that a large share of their cannabis arrests are people heading south after a Michigan purchase — very often stopped for something minor first, with the smell doing the rest.
That is not a scare story and it is not legal advice. It is the single most predictable way a cheap ounce turns expensive, and it is worth knowing before you plan the trip rather than after.
Same rule at that line. The price gap is real — Ohio's median eighth has been running about $35 against Michigan's $20 — but the drive back is the risk, not the purchase.
We're a price comparison site, and this is the same arithmetic we do all day
Legal-Leaf Market compares hemp-derived cannabinoid products from about sixteen stores that ship nationwide, ranked by price per gram with the lab certificate attached to every card. We hold no stock, we sell nothing, and we are not affiliated with any dispensary on this page.
This guide exists because the per-gram question is the whole thing we do, Coldwater is where it goes most unanswered, and the tool costs us nothing to give away. If you want to see the same sorting applied to products that arrive by mail, that is the live Coldwater menus, and what we publish daily — though what is lawful to receive depends on your state, and that is a question worth checking for yourself rather than taking anyone's word for.
